Chapter 6: Damaged Goods. The sixth chapter in A Plague Tale: Innocence is Damaged Goods, This chapter follows the de Rune children and their new friends, Mélie and Arthur, as they are trying to escape the camp where they are held captive.

Find Hugo

A Plague Tale: InnocenceArthur, Mélie, Amicia and Hugo have been captured by the English. Mélie helps Amicia escape, as they become better acquainted. Amicia is without her equipment, so this section is a completely stealthy mission. Do not be detected! For the first part, stay crouched and follow Mélie.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When you get to this guard, Arthur would need to cause a distraction. Use Q to make Arthur throw a rock at the cart. Then follow Mélie. Stay crouched and move swiftly from one hiding place to another as Mélie does.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Just after passing these guards, there is Fabric on the table in front of you. To the right and back there are two pieces of Leather and some Cord.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – After picking up the leather and cord, you can crouch and go slowly towards the guards to your right, and find more Fabric as shown above. As long as you crouch and not move further than you have to, you’re safe to take it.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Come back to where Mélie is, and explore that whole section before getting Arthur to do the second distraction. Pick up the Salpeter and Sulphur and Alcohol before asking Arthur to distract the guards by throwing a rock at the barrel of spears on the left.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Follow Mélie after Arthur’s distraction. In the tent above, be very careful – there are bottles. If you break them, you’ll wake up the guards and attract attention. You can pick up some Alcohol here.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When Mélie turns right here, you need to make a detour to the left first. There are some items to pick up here. Gift 6: Knucklebones is on a table to your left. You must wait until the guard turns around to patrol, or he will see you. Nearby are also Leather and Tools. Now go back to following Mélie.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – In the tent in front of you is Fabric. You need to walk crouching, but without stopping. The guard will spot “something” but will not come for you if you’re quick. Then quickly make your way back before a patrolling guard walks past the front of the tent, then join Mélie again. Inside the tent to your left, pick up Alcohol.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once you’ve joined Mélie again in the grass, you will see this archer training on a corpse. When he turns, quickly grab the leather and continue to join Mélie.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Keep following Mélie, and when you’re past the archer, veer left behind these obstacles. There is Cord here. Then follow Mélie again.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Here, get Arthur to distract the guard facing you by throwing a stone at the put as shown.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – After the distraction, continue to follow Mélie, until you get here. To your right here you can find Salpeter and Sulphur. Then join Mélie again, undetected.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Here, before moving on, you can pick up Cord, Fabric and Salpeter. When the guard turns to go speak to Amicia who gave them the slip, follow Mélie again.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – After the conversation in this tent, Mélie will open this chest for you. Inside it you will find Salpeter and Sulphur. Now follow Mélie again.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Before following Mélie again, veer to the right here, pick up the Alcohol on the cart, then further right, while crouched, into the wooden structure to your right, where you will find Curiosity 11: Pound Sterling, Sulphur and Cord. Here, I had a full inventory of cord. Tricky, but possible to double back. I decided against it on my subsequent play throughs – cord was never a shortage for me.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Go back to where Mélie is, but be careful. There are bottles again. Pick up the Alcohol in front of you, and follow Mélie again. A little further on is more Alcohol as well as some Leather and Fabric. Be quiet!
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Follow Mélie here, straight down the center, then keeping left.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Finally! You’ve found Hugo! Stay patient. A guard will come and say that the girl escaped, and when the guards split up, you will need to free Hugo.

Free Hugo

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Hugo will tell you where they put your sling and equipment. Ask Mélie to open the chest and take your stuff. Ahhh… Beautiful! Slingshot the cage so that it falls down, and asked Mélie to open the lock to free Hugo.

Leave the camp

A Plague Tale: Innocence – With Hugo freed, the following part you can play as you wish, as long as you take the last collectibles. I opted to take out all the guards first – just went in slinging them all before collecting anything, then Amicia could walk around without a worry in the world to pick up everything.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Do not go past this cart wheel before picking up everything, or you will miss some valuable goodies and collectibles, if you decided to follow the violent route.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Before picking up everything, use the workbench to the left near the cage Hugo was in to upgrade pocket to level 3. Now with pocket fully upgraded, your inventory will not become full so quickly. Now simply run around the area where Hugo’s cage is and further towards the end of the level and pick up everything you can find there are lots. Also loot the bodies.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Near the back end of the camp, as shown below, you will find Curiosity 12: Declaration of War. The whole back area of the camp is literally littered with things you can pick up. Explore at will.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Around this area and the chest, you will find at least 9 x Rocks, 2 x Sulphur, 2 x Pot, 4 x Salpeter, 1 x Fabric, 1 x Tools, 2 x Cord, 2 x Leather and 1 x Alcohol. Now leave the camp to the south.

Survive and escape the camp

A Plague Tale: Innocence – To finish the chapter, you need to now escape the camp. It is not too tricky – all the guards that you need to take out have no helmets on. As soon as the cutscene is over, take out the two in front of you, as shown by slinging them with rocks, then follow Mélie. There is a total of 6 guards to take out before you escape through a hatch.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once Amicia, Mélie and Hugo leave the camp, Chapter 6: Damaged Goods will end.
