Find Beatrice

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Hugo needs to escape. There are no resources to pick up, only one Herbarium collectible later. There is a small cupboard Hugo can enter.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Let Hugo crawl through this opening.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Right after entering the whole, keep to the left, and hide behind this barrier before the guard turns around again. Another guard is operating a contraption. When the contraption is up, move along – but make sure the other guard has not turned around to see you. If the guard sees Hugo, he will be caught, and has to restart at the last checkpoint.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When this alchemist is with his back towards Hugo, move on, keep straight. On the left side of the room, in the far north, Hugo can find a table to crawl under.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When Hugo gets under the table, he notices that someone is coming. Wait for the person to leave, then keep left under the next table. When you emerge from under the table, crawl under the table ahead, and move on. Careful, there are bottles. If Hugo breaks them, he will be detected.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – At thus juncture, Hugo needs to keep right.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Wait for this alchemist to walk past, then keep left and straight ahead.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Climb up these stairs, and keep left.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – There is an alchemist ahead. Slip past him when he is facing away from Hugo, and be careful of the bottles in the area.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – With the first alchemist facing away, and the second one walking to the back, slip past the first one, and keep right down a set of stairs.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Here, Hugo must keep left, around the barrel, and wait for the guards to finish talking.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When the guard moves forward, Hugo can slip through here, and keep left.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Luckily all the guards and alchemists are occupied, so it is rather easy to slip past them. Climb the stairs behind this alchemist.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – In this area, Hugo needs to wait for the smoke to come, then crawl under these structures. If he goes when there is no smoke, the guard will see him. Go forward, then when reaching the back wall, go forward. Be aware of where the guard is.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Well done! When you get here, wait for the smoke one last time, and go through this door.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once through the door, crawl underneath the table into the next room. Immediately keep left, as a guard will open the door, and see you if you’re in the center of the stairs going down.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once the guard leaves, walk down the stairs and forward. Keep moving on, while crouching. There is only one way.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When Hugo gets here, he needs to be careful. There is an alchemist here that can spot him. When going through this door, crawl immediately under the table. When he walks back and is past Hugo, crawl into the cupboard at the far end of the room.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When the right alchemist is walking away, go through here, keep left, and crawl under the table. On the other side, keep left again.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Here, you now need to wait for the alchemist to turn back before continuing. Keep going left. There is a table under which Hugo can crawl through. Keep left some more.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Crawl past these tables, at the end of these tables, Hugo needs to move under a table quickly, or will be seen.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – In my case, I was not quick enough, but luckily the alchemists cannot get under the tables, so as long as Hugo is under the table, the alchemist will eventually lose interest, and Hugo can move on to the area shown ahead. Before walking on, ensure that the alchemist to the right in this picture has walked past the table Hugo is hiding under, then slip immediately under the table in the room ahead.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Wait under the table until the alchemist patrolling is back at the other table, then keep left and into the cupboard and wait a bit.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When the alchemist ahead goes back to the table Hugo just crawled out of, move forward to the other table ahead, under it, and into the cupboard at the opposite end of the room. Once out on the other side, Hugo will say that he found Mummy. Move through the arch and down the stairs again.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once down the stairs, keep right and down the isle between pews. As long as Hugo is crouching, he can keep moving and hide behind a table without being seen until a cutscene starts.

Follow Nicholas to Beatrice’s Cell

A Plague Tale: Innocence – When the cutscene ends, follow Lord Nicholas. Stay near him, but not too close.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When Lord Nicholas walks down the aisle here, keep right behind the bannister here. When the conversation ends, continue to follow Lord Nicholas closely.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When Lord Nicholas gets here, you reach a new checkpoint. This section you may need to play twice. First, we need to get the only collectible of the chapter. Then you will reload the checkpoint to get the achievement, Captain Sidekick in which you need to reach the other side before Lord Nicholas does.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Where Lord Nicholas goes right, Hugo goes left, and walk next to the bushes, and slip into the ally just before this guard. Some guards may be partially alerted, but if Hugo keeps moving without stopping, they will not be fully alerted. Keep moving while keeping left after this turn, until the bushes are on Hugo’s right, then forward until the end, then turn right, with the bushes still to Hugo’s right.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Keep hugging these bushes, and turn right at the first gap in the bushes, and keep right, and you will find Herbarium 11, Black Nightshade.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once Hugo picked up the collectible, reload and start the process again for the achievement. Do the route the same, but do not turn right to where the collectible was. Rather keep left, and into the archway to Hugo’s right, and enter the door before Lord Nicholas does, to unlock the trophy, then hide under the table near a guard. Now wait for Lord Nicholas to arrive, and when they are done speaking, the guard moves away. This allows you to go straight into the prison area.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – If Hugo did not manage to get into the archway before Lord Nicholas does, Hugo will need to find another way. With the door ahead closed, Hugo will need to navigate past a few more screens now. Not a biggy, but since I made it the quick way here, I will continue among this path. I may replay this chapter later and show the other route. It is just a few screens quicker, that are not particularly difficult to navigate, as long as Hugo is careful. Keep following Lord Nicholas.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – When Lord Nicholas stops to speak to Beatrice, hide behind the structure on the left until he walks back again past Hugo, then go to Beatrice’s cell. After the cutscene, the objective is complete.

Find the key to Beatrice’s cell

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Hugo must to crawl into the hole in the wall ahead.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Wait for Lord Nicholas to leave, then wait for the one guard to leave. Then go to the ladder shown above, and climb it.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once Hugo is on top of the rafters, move forward, then left. then right and down the ladder on the other side. Operate the lever Hugo sees after climbing down, then go back up the ladder and down again on the other side from where Hugo came up in the first place.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Back at the first ladder, move to the lantern. The key is against the far wall here, so Hugo needs to get there first. Move the beam so that Hugo has a clear path to the second lantern shown above, then move that beam so that Hugo has a clear path to the key on the far wall.

Go Back to Beatrice’s cell

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Move back to the light beam and move it in the position as shown above.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Next, move back to the first light beam and move it in the position as shown above. Now the road is clear for Hugo to get back to Beatrice. Free Beatrice from her cell.

Find the exit to the Bastion

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Hugo will learn that he can now control the rats. Practice this a little before moving on, you’re going to use this a lot for the rest of this chapter. When using Imperium, you know you’re in enough light to let go when you are stepping into a red light area.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Use Imperium to move the rats in front of the cage to the left, then walk to the right. Then use Imperium again to move the rats in the corner to the guard.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Follow the path until you get here. This guard is blocking the way, so you need to go right. Be ready to use Imperium again. You need to go right, forward, and then left again to walk “around” this guard.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once Hugo and Beatrice has circumvented this guard, they need to keep moving away from him, and up the stairs.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – At the top of the stairs, Hugo must operate this light beam to the far right, so that the rats can come out, then control the rats with Imperium towards the guard. He will run away. Now trap the rats back in their hole by moving the light back the way Hugo found it. Now move down and out of the building.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Outside, Hugo must control the rats so they can move to the light source ahead. Move the rats to ther left, and backtrack into the light.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – From the light they’ve seen from the previous screen, Hugo needs to use Imperium again to get to the light on the left of this screen.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Use Imperium again, to make a way for yourself up the stairs to the left. Move the rats to the right.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Once up the stairs, move the rats ahead of Hugo to the right, and sort-of follow them, and push them down the other side.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Cheeky buggers darting in and out of the light like that. Look Ma! No hands!
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Follow the path ahead, until a new cutscene starts. After the cutscene, Hugo must protect Beatrice from the rats, using Imperium.

Defend Beatrice

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Hugo needs to be fast. Direct the rats to the guards that are alarmed, fast and efficiently. It may take a few tries.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Send rats by means of Imperium to any alerted guard. Some of them are upstairs and have bows and arrows. Be very fast! Once all the guards have been devoured by the rats, Chapter 14 – Blood Ties will end, with Hugo still not freed 🙁
