A Plague Tale: Innocence – Before following Hugo, take some time to explore. There are lots of things to pick up: 2 x Fabric, 1 x Alcohol, 1 x Tools, 1 x Salpeter and 2 x Cord. There is also a workbench so you can upgrade some equipment. The order of upgrades is not important now that you have a fully upgraded pocket.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Do not follow Hugo down the stairs yet, just as you go through the doorway, you will see a collectible on the overgrown stairs. Pick up Curiosity 15: Iconography. Now go on with Hugo, but go downstairs first (do not join Lucas yet).
A Plague Tale: Innocence – There is nothing else to pick up at this time, but you’ll see a grave. Later on, you’ll see how the orphans transformed this area. This unlocks the chapter-specific trophy, Tribute.

Help Lucas with the elixir

A Plague Tale: Innocence – You can now join Lucas, who asks Amicia to get some ingredients for him (vial from the left side table and concentrated laurel sap – both in red vases). There are also other items to pick up here: 2 x Sulphur, 1 x Alcohol, 1 x Leather and 2 x Salpeter. Lucas’s experiment fails, but not a big deal. Moving right along. Follow Hugo.

Follow Hugo to the ramparts

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Before exiting to the ramparts with Hugo, pick up Gift 8: Alchemical Crucible. After echoing your voices in the courtyard, speak to Mélie (it is optional, but I just can’t leave things not done).
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Ensure that you pick up Curiosity 16: Bird Language Manual near where Mélie is standing.

Inspect the symbol in the great hall

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Before going on to join Hugo, pick up the Leather here, if you have not done so yet. Then follow Hugo to inspect the symbols.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – After inspecting the symbols on the ground, Hugo wants to show you a tree. Follow the leader, follow the leader, follow the leader…

Follow Hugo

A Plague Tale: Innocence – The orphans will hang their coats of arms on the tree after the cutscene.
A Plague Tale: Innocence – Walk to Hugo behind you, and you two will find Herbarium 5: St. John’s Wart.

Join Mélie in the great hall to leave with her

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Speak to Mélie. Once you’ve spoken to Mélie, who wants to go rescue Arthur, Chapter 8: Our Home will end.
