This guide will help you to use the right lure to catch the best fish. Simply walk up to the beach and click anywhere on the ocean – you will automatically cast your fishing rod after selecting a lure.

After lots of trial and error, I found that the following works best for each type of fish. If you find that your the fish gets away often, and especially if your lure gets lost in the process, you may need to get the larger version of the particular bait. For small fish, the first ones you can buy of each type is good enough.
If you’re looking for a specific type or size of fish, and it is not present when you enter the beach, simply exit the screen and come back in. They usually come up after a few tries.
It is also true that the below lures can sometimes catch different fish than what it is best for, but it is less likely that it catches the wrong one if you’re not using the right bait. Without further ado, here is my findings for the best fishing experience:
- Seaperch – Natural Plug
- Hammerhead – Natural Jig
- Tuna – Pink Squid
- Rockfish – Green Jig
- Marlin – Green Squid
- Great White – Pink Plug
Just for your guidance, here are my records. I am not claiming these are the greatest fish ever caught, but some of them are pretty huge, if I compare to some of the braggers I found while Googling for the records.
- Seaperch – 5.75 lbs
- Hammerhead – 1182.45 lbs
- Tuna – 121.42 lbs
- Rockfish – 33.20 lbs
- Mariln – 1087.67 lbs
- Great White – 3111.78 lbs
