Treasure of Nadia: Game Concepts

Treasure of Nadia is a point-and-click game from the perspective of a young man who is attempting to follow in the footsteps of his late father, who was a treasure hunter and archaeologist.

Please note: This guide was made on a Windows 10 computer (that got later updated to Windows 11), and all point-and-click interactions and screenshots were made on Windows 10/11. Versions of this game on other platforms may work slightly different. Please check with your platform what the equivalent different commands on your platform is for mouse clicks, Escape key and Enter key.

You start off by choosing your character’s name. For our purposes, we will simply call our character Jake (You can change your name later in Squallmart.

Naming your character
Choosing your character’s name. Well, helloooooo, Jake! Typing your name is a little cumbersome, and requires some practice.
The introduction video after choosing your name introduces you to Clare.

Once the introductory scene is over, Jake, Janet, Kaley and Albert visits the grave of your father, Idaho Jonson (1968 – 2019). This is where you get introduced to the first basic concepts of the game: Hide and Skip interactions.

Possible dialogue interactions

Game Concepts 1
This is the action button to hide a conversation or progression of a conversation. This opens up your view screen or hide sensitive texts.
This allows you to skip the current scene's text completely. Useful if you're not 100% private and you need to hide things occasionally.

  • Hide – This hides the dialogue at the bottom of the screen. Its sole purpose is to allow you to view imagery and videos without the interaction overlay. To show this again, click anywhere in the window. Please note that some animations (videos, mostly) do not allow interaction with the dialog immediately. Since this game is NSFW, this could be a problem if you want to skip a scene in a pinch. Learn your platform shortcut to minimize your screen quickly!
  • Skip – This allows you to skip the current scene to the end and moves on to the next scene. This is not recommended for your first play-through, as you do tend to miss some information this way – you get a lot of information on what you need to do next by reading this. Skipping made my first play-through a little bit tougher than it should’ve been, but Evie van help you catch up.

Map of Cape Vedra

Cape Vedra is the small town where the adventures of Treasure of Nadia take place.

Point-and-click to go to different areas of Cape Vedra.

To move around the game, click on Objects and Locations on a screen, for example, after the introduction, you are taken to the Home you inherited from your father. It is empty initially, but you can click on the Staircase to move up to the Bedroom.

Your home, as inherited from your father, in its initial state. Clicking on the Staircase takes you up to the Bedroom.
Once up in your Bedroom you are introduced to the first Object you can pick up: a Note from your father. Click on it to read the message. This note introduces you to the concept of the Soul Crystal, which you need to find. Visit Diana for your first clue to finding it.

Inventory

You initially start off with an empty Inventory. You can access the inventory by pressing Esc on your keyboard.

When you pick up an Object on the map, or someone gives something to you, you will see a screen similar to the above.

Hints

In the first few minutes of playing, you will receive some hints as to how you can continue playing the game. Some hints will be a block of text for you to read, as in the below screenshot about the Library. Others will contain instructions on where to click.

Your first interaction: Diana

Follow the conversation with Diana to get Rusty Shovel. Later interactions will give you point-and-click options to make different choices. The choices are mostly different actions, such as Sell All Talismans, or Show Diana something, and so on. The order of interactions does not make a difference in the outcome of the game, however, if you sell a Talisman that you need to get a boost, for example, you may struggle to get a new Talisman of the right kind, but you can still find it later or craft it.

Interactive choices

In some instances you have interactive choices when speaking to someone. Below is an example of this. Simply choose the interaction of your choice by clicking it with the mouse.

Your phone

Your phone is the only possession you have initially in your empty inventory, and serves as your main game interface mechanic. It allows you to Load Games and Save Games, make Booty Calls, Change Settings, Replay Scenes, and See Your Progress.

Phone
Pressing Escape and choosing "Phone" will show this screen.
Click here if you want to call one of the girls over for a rendezvous.
Click here if you want to review one of the hot scenes again.
There are more options here, save reminders, NSFW filter, Exit or Restart, etc. Feel free to explore.

Booty Calls

Over time you will get on better terms with all of the ladies, and at a certain point, you will receive their Phone Number. This will enable you to call them over to your house for a Booty Call. But be aware. Your mangy little house is not going to be suitable for most of the ladies, you need to improve it over time. Also note, that you cannot do anything in your room with any of the ladies until you have at least one Kama Sutra page for them.

Progress

The object of the game is to complete all and collect all. Besides the in-game tasks, there are also Steam achievements to obtain. Completionists will have a lot of fun trying to achieve a 100% Completion rate.

Making money

The main ways for you to get money in this game are to:

  • Sell Talismans – when you dig up some treasures (usually Talismans), take them to Diana at the Library to sell them, or later use your Satellite Phone to remotely sell them to her.
  • Catch fish – Go to The Beach from time to time and catch fish as per the instruction of the cashier at the Bait Shop. He will give you tasks of increasing difficulty, each with higher rewards than the previous one. Eventually, he will run out of tasks for you, and you’ll have to revert back to other methods. Keep buying better lure and more guides as they become available in the Bait Shop.
  • Sell Potions – Get ingredients and deposit them in the “lab” at Squallmart. This is not available in the beginning of the game. This is a passive income that you get every time you enter the lab at the back of Squallmart and click on the safe.

Collectibles

There are several objects to find in the game that give you different rewards. These are:

  • Blue Twinkles – these are usually Talismans or smaller, less significant in-game things to find.
  • Orange Twinkles – these are usually better rewards, such as profile pages or Kama Sutra pages.
  • Vases – you can break them once you purchase the right equipment in Squallmart, namely, a Pickaxe
  • Boxes – you can open them once you got a Crowbar

This totals up to 60 Extras, and various other goodies. This is important if you want to aim for 100% Completion, which is what this guide will help you to do.

Awareness and Intelligence

Some activities in the game can raise your awareness and intelligence, initially temporarily, or later on, permanently. Most of these boosts can be obtained by visiting Pricia or Jessica for their respective Treatments.

Game Concepts 2
Click here to access game options and main game controls.
You need at least one Kama Sutra page per girl to call her over for a Booty Call.
This is your inventory. Use items from here to craft new items, or use existing ones.
This shows your current proficiency: intelligence, shovel, etc.

Crafting

You often need new things to do different tasks. These can be combined in the Native Shrine in Estero Caves. Take a look at our crafting guide to learn more about crafting.

Torches

There are a total of 15 Torches to light in the game. You can only light torches after you obtained a Lighter at Squallmart. Each torch would enable a reward. The screenshot below shows the reward when you light the 8th torch, which would give you access to some of the blocked goodies on this screenshot.

The Soul Crystal

The Soul Crystal is your lifeline in the game until a certain point. Somewhere between 60% and 70% completion, the Soul Crystal gets stolen, but until then, Evie can help you out by giving you clues on how to continue in your quest. This is a good time to save your game now, because this introduction takes very long, and would be annoying to do over again. Open your Phone from your Inventory, and click on Save Game.

If you need to censor out naughty scenes, open your phone, go to Options, and change the NSFW Filter. You can also turn down Moaning Volume.

Finally, you can get save reminders, change movement speed, exit or restart the game from your phone’s interface under Options.

Collecting Hearts

Over time, your goal is to collect all 6 hearts for all the ladies you interact with (with the exception of Evie). The more hearts you have, the more they like you, and the more things they will do with you. But the hearts are not enough. You also need to upgrade your house. Some girls do not mind that you have almost nothing at the start, but some, like Sofia, requires almost a fully upgraded house. To do more things with the ladies, you also need to collect Kama Sutra Pages.

Kama Sutra Pages

These are indicated in your inventory with a scroll, indicating a particular activity you can do with a lady. There are 5 Kama Sutra Pages to collect for each lady, and each allows a different interaction with you in Your Bedroom. Check your inventory to see how many you’ve got for a girl. You need at least one to have a Booty Call with any girl.

Mini-game

Later in the game, you will be introduced to the mini-game “the c*m-shot” game, which can be upgraded in intensity by buying multivitamins from Squallmart. The mini-game is available for all ladies for who you have 4 hearts or more. Buying all the vitamins you can over time and upgrading the c*m shot intensity, will earn you a Steam achievement. I did not find this game particularly cool or anything. It is actually a bit ridiculous.

Conclusion

This should be enough information for you to start playing the game. More detailed information about specific tasks to follow in subsequent posts.
